Job Summary
We are currently seeking experienced Rigger Erectors to support maintenance and inspection operations for our client in the Oil & Gas Downstream industry. This role requires a skilled professional with a strong understanding of rigging safety, equipment handling, and structural erection procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rigging and erection tasks for the movement and installation of heavy equipment and structures
- Assess equipment weight and select appropriate lifting gear, slings, and rigging tools
- Interpret crane signals, international crane language codes, and follow detailed rigging plans
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of rigging tools and lifting devices
- Collaborate with lifting supervisors and crane operators to ensure smooth, safe lifting operations
- Work at elevated heights including chimneys, flare stacks, and other high-access structures
- Follow all rigging safety protocols, industry codes, and company HSE guidelines
- Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment malfunctions
Qualifications
- Time-served craftsman with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in rigging and erection work in a refinery or petrochemical plant
- Proficient in load assessment, rigging gear selection, and equipment handling
- Excellent visual and auditory abilities for on-site safety and coordination
- Fully conversant with international rigging safety practices, rigging codes, and crane signal codes
- Comfortable working at heights and in challenging environments
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
