Petroleum Engineer (Completion)

The Petroleum Engineer (Completion) will undertake the following responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of well completion facilities at the wellhead, as per the well completion design.
• Finalize the logging program, supervise logging operations at the site, analyze well logs, and select completion intervals.
• Supervise the running-in of the completion string, packer setting depth, finalize the drill stem and production testing program, supervise testing operations, and analyze test results.
• Quantify the deliverability of the wells and evaluate reservoir rock properties, identifying reservoir heterogeneity (e.g., sealing/natural faults, layers, etc.).
• Prepare well completion reports in collaboration with the Drilling Supervisor and Petroleum Geologist, ensuring safe production from the field for each well.
• Assist the Drilling Supervisor in the preparation and compilation of final well reports, incorporating both drilling and completion reports.
• Assist the Client in other technical matters related to their field of expertise.

Qualification and Experience

• Should possess at least a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Must have completed one valid supervisory level professional training (IADC/IWCF/Well Cap or equivalent) in oil/gas well drilling/completion/well control.
• Must have completed at least one proper Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) training.
• Should have at least 15 years of overall experience in drilling or completion works of oil/gas wells.
• Must have experience in drilling or completion works for at least 40 oil/gas wells.
• Should have experience as a Petroleum Engineer (Completion) in works such as designing and supervising the running-in of completion strings, DST, and production testing, for at least 10 gas/oil wells.
• Must have experience as a Petroleum Engineer (Completion) in works such as designing and supervising the running-in of completion strings, DST, and production testing for at least 4 gas/oil wells with a minimum depth of 4000 meters TVD.
• Should have experience in carrying out completion works for at least 4 directional gas/oil wells.
• Must have experience in at least 4 gas/oil wells drilling/completion works in geological settings similar to those in Bangladesh (e.g., deltaic, siliciclastic, anticlinal).
• Must have good proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Age limit: Maximum 68 years on the date of the Technical Proposal opening.
