Context & Environment

The PBF division (Brownfield Projects) of Company in Angola operates within a matrix organization, managing projects from FEED/Basic Engineering to startup and handover to Block Field Operation teams. The brownfield projects involve execution activities offshore, typically under SIMOPS conditions on live FPSOs such as Girassol, Dalia, Pazflor, CLOV (Block 17), and Kaombo Norte/Sul (Block 32). These projects face significant challenges, including congested seabeds, production shortfall minimization, and co-activities with other projects and maintenance tasks.

PBF manages EPCI contracts with major international contractors and local players. This includes onshore prefabrication in Angola and offshore installation activities such as FPSO modifications, SURF, SPS, and SIMOPS.

Activities

1. General HSE Responsibilities

• Adopt exemplary behavior in alignment with COMPANY'S Code of Conduct and HSE rules.
• Ensure HSE compliance across all offshore operations and participate in hazard assessments.
• Act as the COMPANY focal point for emergency management onboard the vessel, implementing the Emergency Response Plan.

2. Offshore Supervision

• Oversee offshore activities conducted by the SURF Contractor from the Rigid Pipelay Vessel, ensuring compliance with:
  • Agreed procedures and installation analysis.
  • Project specifications and TotalEnergies General Specifications.
  • International norms and standards.
  • Required quality and safety levels.
  • Ensure modifications to procedures follow the Management of Change process.
  • Monitor daily activities to ensure they align with the planned schedule.

3. Coordination & Communication

• Participate in daily coordination meetings with the SURF Contractor.
• Liaise with FPSO RSES and COMPANY representatives on other vessels for COMOPS/SIMOPS activities.
• Act as the interface between the MWS representative and the SURF Contractor onboard.

4. Reporting & Documentation

• Provide daily activity reports to the SURF Operations Company Representative, highlighting progress and any concerns.
• Ensure relevant certificates and checklists (e.g., Ready for Installation certificates, ICAPS sheets) are prepared and signed on time.
• Maintain traceability tables for rigging and SPS tools onboard.

5. Leadership

• Lead the COMPANY supervision team onboard the vessel and represent the COMPANY in all related environments.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Languages English (mandatory).
• Professional Expertise Advanced expertise in project supervision for SURF Rigid Pipe Offshore Laying activities.
• Experience in Similar Roles Participation in recent deep-water projects is expected.
• Certifications BOSIET, HUET (GSES is appreciated).
