Night Drilling & Work Over Supervisor

The Night Drilling Supervisor supervises Wellsite Operations during the night shift. During this period will have responsibility for the supervision of well operations. Provides HSE and operational leadership in the execution of well programs (drilling, completion, workover).

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all operations are carried out as per both Weatherford and their client's HSE requirements across all stake holder activities including rigs and service providers
• Responsible for executing routine drilling / workover operations includes drilling, casing running in, cementing, wireline logging, completions, wellbore clean ups, BOP, wellhead installations etc.
• Conducts detailed observation and inspection of activities on site and translates into operational activities on receiving detailed programs from Supervisor or Drilling Supdt.
• Reviews programs considering work progress, proposes and implements minor amendments to approved programs considering unforeseen operations requirements.
• Supervises and controls the activities of personnel involved in the provision of services/operation
• Ensure that all required supplies are available, orders materials /equipment from stores as required.
• Ensure a proper look-ahead planning to avoid delays
• Prepare well-site plans such as casing running and cement calculation
• Supervise operations during the night.
• Manage, time, crews and other resources to optimize performance and efficiency
• Extend training and technical support to direct reports
• Use good judgement in deciding when to escalate issues to your Superior.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree.
• Minimum 08 years of experience, which include working as operator/contractor drilling supervisor, with the last 5 years as night Drilling Supervisor for a known international operator.
• Ample international experience, having worked for reputable drilling contractors and operating companies.
• Ability to supervise both drilling and completion operations.
• Valid IWCF well control level 4 (Supervisory Level).
• Experience in Algeria is an advantage.
• Fluency in French and English.
