Location: Leibstadt Nuclear Power Plant, Switzerland
Deployment Period: 28 April 2026 - 28 May 2026
Working Schedule: 10 hours/day, Monday to Saturday (60 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pipe fitters and steel workers during maintenance and installation tasks.
- Perform basic mechanical work, such as opening/closing flanges and manholes.
- Operate mechanical hand tools, including grinders.
- Support safe lifting and rigging activities using chain hoists under fitter supervision.
- Handle and organize materials such as gaskets, bolts, and nuts.
- Clean components including flanges, manholes, and sealing surfaces.
- Carry out simple transport and movement tasks within the work area.
- Serve as a manhole watch, preferably with German language skills.
Requirements
- Previous experience in industrial environments, ideally in power plants or similar settings.
- Basic mechanical skills and ability to use standard hand tools.
- Certified for work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Flair for safe handling of lifting equipment.
- Valid radiation passport and medical clearance for work in radiologically controlled areas.
- Valid Swiss work permit for 60-hour work weeks, including weekends if required.
Language Requirements
- Team Leader and Welding Specialist must be fluent in German or English.
- Manhole watch duties require German language skills.
Team Requirements
The deployed team must be:
- Well-coordinated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Highly responsible and safety-conscious in all tasks performed.
