Drilling Supervisor

The Drilling Supervisor will undertake the following responsibilities

• Supervise the team of consultants, facilitate capacity building, coordinate and communicate with BGFCL, and prepare regular project reports for drilling and completion.
• In coordination with other members of the consultant’s drilling team, provide advice and assistance at a project management level in the preparation of each sub-project to properly define the work.
• Review project schedules submitted by the firms, analyze progress, and suggest corrective measures at the management level.
• Prepare and finalize the drilling program.
• Supervise the entire drilling, workover, and remedial works.
• Ensure that proper drilling procedures are followed, and that drilling operations are carried out efficiently and safely.
• Supervise the activities of services companies/contractors involved in drilling the wells.
• Prepare and compile necessary drilling reports and the final report on drilling and completion for each well.
• Assist the client in other technical matters related to the field of expertise.
• After the completion of the drilling project, prepare a list of surplus materials that are usable and submit a report as per the client’s requirements.

Qualification and Experience

• Should possess at least a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) / B.Sc Engineering degree in an oil and gas-related discipline.
• Must have completed one valid supervisory level professional training (IADC/IWCF/Well Cap or equivalent) in oil/gas well drilling/completion/well control.
• Must have completed at least one proper Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) training.
• Should have at least 15 years of overall experience in drilling oil/gas wells.
• Must have experience in drilling at least 40 oil/gas wells.
• Should have experience as a Drilling Supervisor (including supervising well control, cementation, mud engineering, tubular running, and third-party engineering works) in drilling for at least 10 gas/oil wells.
• Must have experience as a Drilling Supervisor (including supervising well control, cementation, mud engineering, tubular running, and third-party engineering works) in drilling for at least 4 gas/oil wells with a minimum total depth of 4000 meters TVD.
• Should have experience in drilling a minimum of 4 directional gas/oil wells.
• Must have experience in drilling or supervising drilling operations for at least 4 gas/oil wells in geological settings similar to those in Bangladesh (e.g., deltaic, siliciclastic, anticlinal).
• Should have good proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Age limit: Maximum 68 years on the date of the Technical Proposal opening.
