Main Responsibilities

The Senior Site Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems during the Al Gabal El-Asfar Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion. The role involves ensuring that all electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation, are installed according to the design specifications, international standards, and safety regulations.

Specific tasks include

• Supervising the installation and commissioning of electrical systems on-site, ensuring compliance with project designs and standards.
• Conducting on-site inspections and tests of electrical components to ensure proper functionality and performance.
• Coordinating with contractors and other engineering teams to ensure that electrical works are integrated with other plant components and systems.
• Providing technical solutions for electrical challenges encountered during the construction and installation phases.
• Monitoring progress to ensure electrical works are completed within the project schedule and budget.
• Preparing detailed reports on electrical system performance, highlighting any issues, deviations, or modifications required.
• Ensuring that all electrical work adheres to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, with substantial experience in large infrastructure or wastewater treatment projects.
• A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in the supervision of electrical installations for large infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in at least two similar projects involving the installation of electrical systems for wastewater treatment plants.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and work collaboratively with contractors and stakeholders.
• Fluency in English is required (knowledge of Arabic is an advantage).
