Electrical Safety Control Engineer – Chargé d’Exploitation

Contract duration 12 months renewable

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Safety & Commissioning

• Act as Electrical Safety Control Engineer (ESCE) in accordance with NFC 18-510
• Monitor and coordinate commissioning and operational activities
• Ensure commissioning activities comply with HSE, quality and contractual requirements
• Participate in commissioning meetings and report progress
• Ensure the quality of commissioning works and documentation
• Support safe energization and operation of electrical systems
• Implement best practices for commissioning activities

Grid & Stakeholder Coordination

• Interface with the national grid operator (RTE)
• Communicate outages and switching activities with stakeholders
• Coordinate switching activities with contractors and operators
• Coordinate emergency response procedures with project stakeholders

Switching Operations

• Prepare and review PTW (Permit to Work) and RAMS
• Prepare switching protocols, method statements and schedules
• Authorize and monitor HV/MV switching operations
• Supervise switching activities across project packages
• Coordinate switching operations with other system operators

Electrical System Operations

• Operate and monitor electrical equipment via SCADA
• Monitor alarms and implement corrective measures
• Control wind farm HV (225kV) and MV (33kV) systems
• Participate in signal testing and commissioning activities
• Support SIT (Site Integration Tests)

Control Room Operations

• Ensure proper management of the control room
• Maintain operational activity logs
• Coordinate with the Control Centre for operational handover
• Support operational transition from commissioning to operations

Required Experience & Skills

• Strong experience as Control Engineer or Senior Authorized Person
• Experience with HV systems up to 225kV
• Solid experience in switching operations and electrical systems
• Good understanding of electrical networks and protection systems
• Experience in offshore wind farm commissioning or operations is highly preferred
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position
• Ability to work in an international environment
• Fluent in English and/or French
• Good proficiency with MS Office tools
