Area Sales Manager – Outside Sales, AFM

Role Overview:

This position will be responsible to generate the new business opportunities and to cater the existing customers for aftermarket and NC product sales activities in Algeria and North-West Africa French Speaking countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visiting customers on regular bases mainly based on given target by management and business requirement
  • Travel in North Africa (Algeria - Tunisia - Libya - Egypt) on a frequent base to cover product install base.
  • Creating sales leads and business opportunities to meet the annual targets.
  • Managing and coordinating the sales activities with local Partners/agents in the assigned territories to meet sales target.
  • All commercial actions as per below to be recorded, noted, and regularly maintained/updated in the Company CRM tool in accordance with management requirements.
  • Being fully compliant with Company Process Automation policy and procedures on KYC.
  • Staying updated on the customers routing/sources for Invitation to Tenders, RFQ’s and recording it in the Company CRM tool.
  • Request, receive and submit to customers budgetary proposals from inside sales to propose solutions for customers’ plant/unit outages.
  • Receive inquiries and RFQs from customers and forward, translate and clarify the same to sales.
  • Receive and check proposals from inside sales and forward the same to customers without delay, preferably in person at the customers’ location.
  • Regularly promote and follow up for the proposals which is already submitted.
  • Upon receiving customers purchase orders make the utmost efforts that they are in accordance with Company Contracting Policy and/or earlier agreed LTSA etc.
  • After receiving customer purchase orders, submit them to inside sales without delay and assist in translating and clarifying the contents.
  • Upon request from inside sales and project management participate in CORB (handover) meetings.
  • Assist in the communication between inside sales/project management to the customer to minimize/eradicate shipment and payment issues.
  • Upon request assist Company finance on outstanding/delayed cash collections
  • Promote the image of Company and Company Process Automation Aftermarket functions with customers.
  • Participate inCompany meetings and conferences were requested and contribute to such forums for the overall profitability of Company.
  • Collaborate with Company functional sales teams (Marketing, Nuclear, Upgrades, Follow-On) in the best interest of Company.
  • Collaborate with NC sales globally by assisting in presenting plant/owner/operators references to increase the revenue for Company globally.
  • Collaborate with Application engineering and technical services to ensure best service to customers

Critical Competencies for Success

  • Candidate should have completed bachelor’s in mechanical / Instrumentation engineering or master’s in mechanical / instrumentation would be advantage.
  • Being open-minded, flexible, helpful and fluent in English are important characteristics
  • 10 years of experience, highly preferable to have 6+ years’ experience in North Africa countries, Power market
  • Excellent Presentation and Negotiation Skills.
  • Customer management
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Process oriented.
  • Willing to learn fast and put into practice.
