Job Title : Material Management Coordinator

Reports: Procurement Manager

Subordinates: Material Equipment Inspectors, Expediters

1- Job Purpose:

To manage the delivery of critical company-procured equipment and materials assuringthat they meet contractual qual ty specifications and project delivery requirements. To manage the material tracking, delivery and storage process.

2- Main Responsibilities:

Procured material and equipment compliance with contractual technical specifications and project/contract delivery requirements

3- Key Activities :

  • Supporting purchasers in the definition of material and equipment procurement plan
  • Kick-off meeting with suppliers participation
  • Monitoring supplies highlighting any possible deviations from contractual technical specifications and schedule taking immediate actions to solve anomalies
  • Inspectors/expediters coordination
  • Material and equipment expediting
  • Material and equipment reports preparation
  • Material and equipment release for payment
  • Monitoring material and equipment shipment in order to assure delivery according to project requirements
  • Providing to purchasing department all the necessary information to define and manage contract penalties (if any)
  • Providing feedback to purchasing department on supplies/suppliers

  • Material and equipment suppliers
  • Contractors

5 – Qualification & Experience :


  • Secondary Level Technical Education
  • Engineering degree preferred

Training & Courses:

  • Negotiation basic course

Languages :

  • Fluent knowledge of English
  • Intermediate knowledge of the local language preferred

Required Experience :

  • 7 years of Oil& Gas industry experience
  • 5 years of material management experience
