Main Responsibilities

The Site Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day construction activities at the Al Gabal El-Asfar Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion site. The role focuses on managing the on-site construction teams, coordinating with contractors and engineers, and ensuring that all construction activities adhere to the project’s specifications, schedule, and safety regulations.

Specific tasks include

  • Leading and managing the site supervision team, ensuring that all activities are performed according to the approved designs, timelines, and safety standards.
  • Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and other engineering teams to ensure smooth and efficient site operations.
  • Monitoring the progress of construction activities and ensuring that they meet the project’s quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines.
  • Managing the resolution of any technical issues or challenges that arise on-site, providing guidance and solutions to the construction teams.
  • Preparing detailed progress reports, documenting site activities, and reporting to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that all necessary permits, approvals, and regulatory requirements are obtained and maintained throughout the project.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field, with extensive experience in infrastructure or wastewater treatment projects.
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in construction supervision, with at least 5 years as a team leader or similar role on large infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in managing on-site construction activities for wastewater treatment plants or similar large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction standards, HSE regulations, and quality control procedures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams on-site.
  • Fluency in English is required (knowledge of Arabic is an advantage).
