Senior IT Infrastructure Support Analyst

Location: Houston (TX), USA

Key Tasks:

Provide effective support to the Client environment, including (but not restricted to) the following tasks:

  • Project Management: As a technical project manager, and or technical lead, he will execute and/or direct resources in activities to be completed.
  • Servers: Spec, build, manage servers on premise, virtual and Azure.
  • Network. Install, troubleshoot, and manage network infrastructure for US with participation as needed with Client ’s technical teams
  • Escalations.  Initiate, follow up and manage escalations for Infrastructure related issues to Madrid and their support tiers, included and not limited third party services vendors. Tickets (incidents, request, change management, etc.) need to be always recorded using Client ’s ticketing system (i.e., Service now)
  • IP Telephony support. Troubleshoot and assist Client technical teams (Madrid) in all related aspects of IP Telephony. 
  • Storage. Onsite technical resource for managing the Netapp and 3PAR storage systems on premise. 
  • Data center. Day-to-day operations includes, but is not limited to: racking equipment, running cables, cable management, troubleshooting and working with engineering and architecture teams.
  • Disaster Response/Recovery. Create and maintain documentation for Disaster Response, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.  During a disaster, lead the support team in ensuring business continuity as well as resolving issues.
  • Vendor management: manage tickets and issues, research new vendors, participate in RFP processes with SCM.
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory.
  • Responsible to develop local operational standards/procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining CMDB
  • Working with Client ticketing system.

Qualifications:

  • 5-years of experience in a technical support, help desk, network support position
  • Preferred certifications include MCSE, CCNA, VCP but are not required.
  • Strong technical background with specific knowledge in servers or networking
  • Good communications and organizational skills
  • Professional, strong work ethic
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of computers or other IT equipment
  • ITIL Certification is a plus.
  • Degree valued but not required.
