Main duties & responsibilities

• Responsible for the evaluation, the engineering (process) and technical assurance of process modifications.
• Raise technical queries and produce scope of work for change requests to resolve operating issues.
• Provide day-to-day adhoc operational support of process facilities including but not limited to surveillance of process plant and equipment to ensure proactive intervention and prevention of production losses.
• Liaise with Equipment Vendors , Process Licensors and Engineering contractors
• Provide operations commissioning assistance to brownfield modifications.
• Assist in the optimisation of the plant, to increase uptime and reduce environmental impact.
• Provide operational guidance with respect to flow assurance for the asset.
• Conduct studies to improve plant safety, reliability and economics.
• Apply expertise to the analysis and resolution of problems – provide insight to Root Cause Analysis.  
• Ensure that designated assets are operated within their design envelope, current best practice guidance and legislation.
• Maintain and develop the process models for Jv assets.
• Ensure Asset operating procedures are maintained and up to date.
• Providing process troubleshooting, answering technical queries and making technical recommendations.
• Provide support to the head of Engineering Services and wider technical/operations department.

Requirements

Education

• University Degree (Bac+5) minimum – Relevant discipline (Chemical/Process Engineeringpreferred)

Experience

• Strong career history with previous experience working on producing projects: experience of Production surveillance, of onshore brownfield engineering and of gas plant are almost a must (at least 2 oo 3) 
• Previous rotational and working environment experience preferred
• Track record of commitment to safety, and of participation in ORA, Hazid, Hazop, QRA, LOPA.
• Current working knowledge of chemical engineering as it is applied with the E&P industry.

Languages

• Fluency in English is required, and French and/or arabic is preferred
