Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Inventory Analyst

Context & Environment

In 2021, the COMPANY discovered an extensive oil and associated gas field 70 km off the coast of Abidjan, Ivory Coast at a depth of 1,200 metres. It was the first commercial discovery in the country in the past 20 years. We call it fast track and it consists in running the design, authorisation and execution phases in parallel. Another innovative aspect of the project is the reuse of an existing FPSO, modernised and made technologically more advanced to ensure an accelerated start-up, optimising costs and time and minimising the waste of raw materials and construction materials.

Main Activities

Ø Analyse manufacturing, COMPANY resource planning, and other material requirements based on needs of platforms’ demands, spares replenishments, substitute parts, production set ups, engineering changes and COMPANY orders.

Ø Resolve schedule, material requirements and business system problems with cross-functional representatives, mainly maintenance and drilling engineers.

Ø Loads and maintains Master Requirement Planning data on into SAP MM and revise such data each 6 months.

Ø Develop standard procedures, user guides and other necessary training and job aid materials, along with training as needed.

Ø Collaborates with maintenance to review spare part lists and SPIR, in order to ensure proper material requisitions for release to procurement.

Ø Follows up with supply chain roles and technical units the schedule of activities in order to ensure material is in country at the right time, and review and update lead times with suppliers.

Ø Work with supply chain, program management, operations, project management, superintendent, warehouse and engineering to ensure schedule for materials.

Ø Run reports and provide materials status to provide visibility to stakeholders.

Ø Support and analyse Work Orders and BOM and Material Master for their accuracy.

Ø Runs and maintain replenishments for warehouse.

Ø Is responsible to follow up replenishments orders approvals into Purchase requisitions and into creation replenishment Call Offs.

Mandatory Certifications or Diploma:

Ø Master Degree (preferably in Engineering or Economics subjects)

Ø Certification in SAP MM and MRP, issued by SAP Training

Skills & Experience:

Ø at least 5 years of experience in MRP development field preferably in O&G business

Ø Working knowledge of English and French language

Ø Computer literate, particularly in the Office package, and familiarity in learning new software

Ø Expert in O&G materials
