Main Responsibilities

The Hydraulic Engineering Expert will be responsible for the design, review, and implementation of hydraulic systems in the Al Gabal El-Asfar Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion. This role requires significant expertise in the hydraulic aspects of wastewater treatment, including the design and optimization of water flow systems, drainage, and related hydraulic processes.

Specific tasks include

• Leading the hydraulic design and review of wastewater treatment systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Supervising hydraulic elements during construction to confirm compliance with the approved designs and standards.
• Ensuring that hydraulic designs are energy-efficient, sustainable, and adhere to international standards.
• Providing technical solutions for hydraulic challenges that may arise during the design or construction phase.
• Preparing detailed reports on hydraulic system performance and making recommendations for improvements.
• Utilizing computer technology and hydraulic modeling tools to analyze data and optimize system performance.
• Collaborating with other engineering experts and teams to ensure the integration of hydraulic systems with other process components of the treatment plant.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a Ph.D. in environmental engineering or a similar discipline.
• At least 15 years of professional experience as a hydraulic engineering expert, including 5-8 years of senior-level experience in designing and reviewing hydraulic systems for wastewater treatment plants.
• Proven experience with at least 3 assignments in the design or review of wastewater treatment plants.
• Proficiency in using computer technology and software to analyze technical and financial data, maintain records, and generate reports.
• Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus).
