Location: Houston (TX), USA

Responsibilities:

• Support the Financial Accounting/Reporting team with month-end SAP close processes by executing multiple transactions on business days three and four of close for various companies.
• Facilitate, communicate, escalate and ensure the resolution of application and system problems.
• Work with Department Heads and SAP end users to identify system needs/process issues and develop detailed, prioritized, baseline business requirement to assist in solution determination.
• Execute test arrangements for SAP upgrades, new releases, configuration and programming changes to include unit, integration, regression, interface and user acceptance testing.
• Support Treasury with automation of tasks (MT940 SAP upload and implementation of automatic payments for new accounts), and with the migration of electronic banking platforms, ensuring that all existing interfaces work correctly. Maintenance of existing systems (eg: intercompany loan interest module).
• Lead regular knowledge sessions to educate Super Users about SAP applications available.
• Ensure SAP users are on-boarded and trained in support processes.
• Responsible for fulfilling end-user SAP requests for users access changes, new customers, employee expense information, new WBS elements, etc… Review the set-up of new WBS elements to ensure correct FI and JV requirements including correct settlement rules, correct equity group, and billable coding.
• Ad-hoc reporting, analysis, research and query handling.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or in Information Systems combined with accounting work experience.

• Minimum 10 years of experience supporting and/or utilizing SAP FI upstream oil and gas modules (JVA, AM, CO, PS, GL, AP, AR, MM and Timesheet).

• Strong technical and procedural knowledge of monthly and yearly closing processes and procedures on SAP and Consolidation systems.
• Familiarity with cash/bank management systems including bank master data, G/L accounts in different currencies for each bank account and Electronic Bank Statement (EBS).
• Experience and/or exposure to SQL would be an asset and fully functional in the Microsoft suite is required.
• Knowledge of SAP ABAP programming and other SAP programing would be a strong asset.
• Experience with ETRM systems such as Allegro and ENDUR and it interfaces to SAP a plus.
• Experience in Workflow Design, development and implementation a plus.
• The legal authorization to work in the US for any US employer required.
