Key Responsibilites

• Providing leadership & support for HSEQ culture.
• Providing subject-matter expertise to Assurance team relating to Surface Facilities and Project Management.
• Providing balanced, expert assurance opinion and advice to project teams and senior management, relating to decision quality and project maturity. Consider broad spectrum of disciplines in an integrated manner, including subsurface, wells, surface facilities, economics/commercial, risks and opportunities.
• Leading or participating in business assurance reviews of important decisions across E&P spectrum, including major and minor development projects, exploration, business development, and annual business processes such as long-term plan, across worldwide portfolio of operated and non-operated assets.
• Preparing key documents in course of each project assurance activity, including Assurance Plans, Terms of Reference for BAR reviews, and BAR Reports including main findings and recommended actions.
• Contributing to the development, implementation and maintenance of robust internal Assurance standards, processes, and tools.
• Working collaboratively with the rest of the Assurance Team to effectively communicate and educate the organization on the importance of assurance controls and an effective control environment. Engage proactively and openly with project teams to ensure healthy and challenging discussion. Communicate findings clearly to Assurance lead and senior management team.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical) or a related subject.
• More than 15 years of core-discipline expertise on surface facilities and engineering projects with exposure to front end options screening, FEED studies and project execution, on onshore and offshore capital projects. 
• Experience as project manager during front end studies.
• Proven track record of delivery in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Clear understanding of the differences between line delivery and assurance roles.
• Proven track record of supporting high-performing assurance teams.
• Strong ability to identify the key issues affecting value and risk.
• Proven track record in making independent judgements and recommendations.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience working across multiple countries/basins and the E&P lifecycle.
• Familiarity of Subsurface/ Wells / Operations/ Economics/ Commercial, and experience of projects in Algeria, Abu Dhabi or South America, would be an advantage.
