Context & Environment

In 2021, the COMPANY discovered an extensive oil and associated gas field 70 km off the coast of Abidjan, Ivory Coast at a depth of 1,200 metres. It was the first commercial discovery in the country in the past 20 years. We call it fast track and it consists in running the design, authorisation and execution phases in parallel. Another innovative aspect of the project is the reuse of an existing FPSO, modernised and made technologically more advanced to ensure an accelerated start-up, optimising costs and time and minimising the waste of raw materials and construction materials.

Main Activities

Ø Plans and implement the overall supply chain strategy in collaboration with Logistics manager and Head of Departments;

Ø Develops and implements optimization projects to continuously improve Logistics performances for international, onshore and offshore logistics;

Ø Collaborate with Procurement, Cost Control, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure proper control over the Upstream and downstream supply chain with focus on optimisation of warehouse management policies;

Ø Conducts studies to improve supply and inventory management functions to reduce costs and streamline processes;

Ø Advises management, procurement, and/or co-workers on acquisition strategies and warehouse management strategies for materials, spare parts, consumables, and manufacturing equipment;

Ø Determines and controls key supply chain KPIs

Ø Suggests, implements and follow up projects/solutions for process improvements

Ø Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner;

Ø Trains and evaluate people under his responsibility in order to achieve Company logistics targets;

Ø Support the purchase of materials and the sale of them, as per instructions of line managers and liaising with other departments and divisions.

Mandatory Certifications or Diploma:

Ø Master Degree (preferably in Engineering subjects)

Ø Certification in SAP MM, issued by SAP Training

Ø Valid APICS certification CSCP

Ø Lean six sigma green belt certification

Ø Preferred: Lean Six Sigma black belt Certification and PMP - PMI certification

Skills & Experience:

Ø at least 5 years of experience in the supply chain management field or as a consultant preferably in O&G business

Ø Knowledge of International Trade regulation

Ø Customs regulation

Ø master import/exports procedures in the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire

Ø masters procurement policies, warehouse management and logistics

Ø Working knowledge of English and French language

Ø Computer literate, particularly in the Office package, and familiarity in learning new software
